Stanley-Boyd Area Food Pantry
The first Thursday of the month is our community food pantry, which is located at OSLC. We partner with Feed My People and provide food for many households throughout Stanley and Boyd.
Boy Scouts
OSLC is a Charter Organization for Boy Scouts. We provide a place for Cub Scout packs and Boy Scout troops to meet in our church building. Several of our members participate in scouts.
Girl Scouts
Several of our congregation members participate in Girl Scouts. We value them in our community. We also provide a place for Girl Scout troops to meet in our church building.
Good Samaritan Fund
OSLC has set up a Good Samaritan Fund that members are encouraged to give to. The purpose of this fund is to help those in the community who are in need.
SCA (Stanley Community Association)
SCA plans out community events and fundraisers to make the city of Stanley even better. We support their work by creating awareness, encouraging involvement, and participating in several community events.
Stanley-Boyd School District
Each summer, our congregation holds a school supply drive to collect school supplies for students. We also work with the school to buy Christmas presents for families in need of assistance. Our church partners with the school in other ways, including helping pay school lunch balances.
Veterans Housing & Recover Program
We annually hold a clothing and supply drive for Veterans who are in this program. This is typically done in January or February of each year.
The Homeplace of Stanley
Our ministers lead a monthly worship service with communion at the Homeplace for any residents who would like to attend. This takes place the third Friday of the month. In addition, our youth play bingo with the residents several times each year.
Oakbrook Health and Rehab
Our ministers bring communion to any interested residents. This includes pastoral visits and time in prayer. This takes place the first Friday of the month.
Community Christmas Meals
Each year, we support this important ministry of Trinity Vineyard Church in Stanley through donations.
